A unique knowledge festival in terms of its mission, activities and goals, embodying the fact that tolerance is knowledge, and that the values of tolerance represented in knowing others, dialogue and respect while accepting pluralism, diversity, peace and other human values that celebrate and promote coexistence, become possible through knowledge.
Eshraqat Tolerance Enriched Learning (OPENING CEREMONY)
The festival kicks off with an open opening ceremony and a general invitation to the public from different continents of the world to listen to a group of leading experts and specialists in the world through the available electronic platform, and a review of the various titles and events of the festival, speakers and participants.
Crossroads To A Bright Future Forum
This forum comes on the last day of the festival, in order to promote and celebrate what was presented in the three days, and draw a road map for all participants to walk towards a bright future, the path of tolerance and knowledge-based coexistence.
Tolerance Clubs
The event aims to promote and exchange experiences and knowledge gained between students participating in Tolerance Clubs last academic year and invitation for new members to participate in the Tolerance Clubs initiative of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence.
The Others Were Missing
The session will explore the role of tolerance as children learn to appreciate and accept individual and collective differences among their peers. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on and celebrate their unique selves through songs, story, and discussions. The author and illustrator will encourage each participant to be a SOMEBODY in a world full of OTHERS
Gerald Mercer is a father of three and a grandfather of three, Gerald Mercer believes in producing and providing appropriate, culturally sound print resources for children. This is his second opportunity to produce children’s printed resources in the United Arab Emirates.

Role Of Students Abroad In Promoting And Fostering Human Values
The UAE believes in the importance of supporting young people, as they are the majority in the country, and the interest of the wise leadership in developing and supporting the skills and abilities of young people, the session will discuss the role of youth/students in promoting and fostering human values such as tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity, and the role of educational institutions in supporting them from their point of view, by sharing their experiences Such as students of tolerance clubs, or students who had international participation during which the concepts of values were disseminated and strengthened in the Emirates.
Painting With Vern

Students will receive guidance in drawing the UAE peace symbol followed by painting the UAE flag. Discussions during the session will include the meaning of the UAE peace symbol and what it represents for the UAE. Students will leave with their own original artwork on canvas which is a representation of the theme.

He is a versatile artist with a gift for capturing the spirit of life on canvas in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, pen and pencil.

Born and raised in Saudi but from Syrian orgin. A graduate of the New York Film Academy Abu Dhabi. Khadijah has worked on various films productions. From short films, TV production, charity events, web series and short documentaries. In 2016, Khadijah was honored to have four of her short as entries of Cannes short film corner. 

Mindful Yoga With Body Tree Mindfulness For Empathy And Tolerance Of Others
The center has been offering health and wellness to the Abu Dhabi community since 2007. The founders wanted to provide a more holistic approach to exercise, focusing on mind and body education whilst in a supportive environment. Their vision was to create a community centre for all ages where people could escape their hectic lives and work towards wellness goals.

Make your own comics and share your personal experience and true stories! Comics are a great way to tell others about your life and spread tolerance and acceptance by sharing life experiences. Canadian cartoonist Matt Smith will show you everything you need to know to make your own comics, whether you want to tell funny stories, exciting stories, or just tell people what your daily life is like. No drawing experience is necessary and any art styles are welcome!
Canadian/British cartoonist who has lived all over the world in countries like the UAE, Japan and Germany, but he currently lives in Scotland. He has helped students all over the world create their own comics and is excited to be part of the Tolerance Enriched Learning Week! Matt has written scary comic stories and books on how to make comics, but his favourite stories are true stories about his own life

Nairouz Eltanbouli is an an Egyptian writer and illustrator, member of the Egyptian and Emirati Writers Union. Currently residing in Abu Dhabi. She have 10 published works some for children and others for adults.

An Open Conversation Best-selling author Fatima Sharafeddine will read from her book, Mila, Ghady and Rawan. Followed by a discussion about tolerance and acceptance and being open to other ways of thinking can help with personal development.
A writer and translator for children and young adults, winner of several awards and honor lists, among which the Etisalat Award for the best YA book for “Cappuccino”, (Al-Saqi publishers), and the Bologna Ragazzi New Horizons Award for her book “Tongue Twisters” (Kalimat publishers). Several of her books have been translated to various languages, among which are Dutch, Danish, Spanish, Catalan, French, German, English, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Norwegian, Italian and Swedish.

The author was born and raised in Abu Dhabi and in this session he will take the student in a journey through time and reflect on the roots of the past where tolerance and coexistence were values since the establishment of the UAE.

He Holds the position of Honorary Chairman of Al Fahim Group and is on the Board of Directors of an Insurance Company. He was invited to speak in a number of universities in the US. Until 1994 the Author was the first vice-president of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received the prestigious award of “Gulf Chief Executive of the Year” (1995) and Arab Business Excellence Award in 2007. He is also the member of the Consultative Board to the Ministry of Health and Chairman of CBE Advisory Board of the U.A.E.

Children will listen to the storytelling session and then create their own Emirati Borga’s or Mardi Gras mask.

Author of more than 170 picture books, is a children’s author and illustrator, who won awards and have books translated into other languages. Noura Al Khouri an environmentalist by education and a mother of four children. She couples writing for children with volunteer community work in the field of mother and child.

Music composer Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Sattar holds a PhD in Arts with honors, specialized in applied arts in authoring art curricula for art owners, authored curricula in several countries such as: Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, Japan. He is specialized in writing composition and arrangement for orchestras, and a permanent member of the Ministry of Culture (the General Authority for Cultural Palaces)
